Volunteer Greenkeeper of the Year
Lawn Bowls in South Australia relies heavily on hundreds of Greenkeeper volunteers who give their time freely while striving to provide the club members with the perfect playing surface, week after week. Every Bowling green is different, and they all have their own challenges. Looking after the natural turf is one element. Adding inclement weather and the expectations of visitors and members can be challenging. Does your Greenkeeper go above and beyond? Award Criteria:
Demonstrated maintenance and delivery of high-quality greens (natural turf)
Evidence of a sustained service to the sport and their clubs via their contribution to the success and enjoyment of bowls through their role as a greenkeeper
Demonstration of successfully implementing procedures to green management
Demonstrating dedication and a planned, sustained approach to their growth and success as greenkeepers
Good relationships and respected by members and visitors for their contribution to the sport
Professional approach: Contribution to the community
