Twenty Nine Year drought over
The Men’s and Women’s Country Round Robin started on Tuesday and came to a thrilling finish on Friday. With 4 teams in the running to take first place in both the men’s and women’s competition prior to the final round being played, everyone had something to play for.
The Women’s competition saw a very tight tussle all the way up until the final bowls were played, where Yorke Peninsula had an opportunity to cash in, in an epic match against Eyre Peninsula. However, these two DREW which allowed the Fleurieu and KI ladies to swoop in and steal top spot, taking home the 2022-23 Women’s Country Round Robin.
