New staff join restructured Bowls SA team
Bowls SA recently welcomed two new staff members to complete a restructure of the team.
Daniella Cannavo has come on board as Game and Events Officer, with extensive experience in the sporting industry.
You will see Daniella out and about at Bowls SA run events and competitions, as well as in the office.
Lucy Tiller, who is a bowler herself, has joined the team in the role of Membership and Administration Officer.
Lucy will be answering most of your phone, e-mail and in person queries and answering your BowlsLink questions.
These appointments follow the recent return of Isaac Trenorden to the Bowls SA team in the position of Game and Events Coordinator, following a stint in Sydney.
Isaac will be leading event and competition delivery and reviewing all of our events across the year to ensure they are aligned to our strategic direction and achieving all established goals.
Louise McDermott has been promoted to the newly established role of Manager Game and Corporate Services, and will be leading a review of our training offerings as well as continuing to ensure the successful delivery of services.
Sara Lane has been promoted to the newly established role of Manager Clubs and Governance, and will be leading the implementation and review of our policies as well as guiding Bowls SA’s Club development strategy.
Joe Schwab continues in the role of Marketing and Media Officer, but in a full time capacity and with a renewed strategic focus to the role.
Last but not least, Bowls Australia’s James Wilson continues to play a critical role within the team as Participation and Programs Manager for South Australia.
Caretaker CEO Taryn Sexton, who will remain in the role until 30 June 2022, said it is an exciting time for the Bowls SA team.
“We welcome Lucy and Daniella to the Bowls SA family during this busy time of year,” she said.
“We are excited to have a highly skilled and equally committed team in place to serve the membership and deliver on an ambitious agenda of reviews over the coming nine months and beyond.”
