Hahndorf Bowling Club Teddy Donation
The Hahndorf Bowling Club has donated approximately 200 dolls and teddies to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for their use. The club received a grant for new uniforms and in a great initiative to give back to the community, asked the club members to give the old clothes back to the club for recycling. A group of ladies got together and made these dolls and teddies with most of the stuffing donated.
The response from the Women’s and Children’s Hospital was overwhelming for club member Val Deeble and they embraced the idea of making something new out of something old. The Women’s and Children’s Hospital do not want any more toys at this stage but if any other clubs are inspired to do something similar, Hahndorf Bowling Club encourages them to reach out to other hospitals.
