Bowlers settle back into pennants season
Bowlers across South Australia have been getting back out on the greens over the past week as pennants competitions resumed.
All competitions were forced to shutdown for two weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions, however they are back to playing as we approach the halfway point of the season.
Streaky Bay Bowling Club secretary Gaye Oswald said her club are enjoying the return of competition.
“Everyone is frantically bowling, with pennants on Thursdays and Saturdays, ladies’ inter-association and club championships played also,” she said.
“I think we are all cramming things in, just in case we have another lock down, after the recent one certainly complicated everyone’s plans and the bowls program.”
